Francesco Military

Francesco was born and raised in Los Angeles, California where he grew up away from climbing focusing on other things. Francesco found climbing in 2016, where he fell in love with outdoor bouldering and never looked back. He moved to Boulder in 2020 for college and graduated with his BS in Physiology. From there, he started his dual career as a routesetter and a coach; starting with coaching at ABC in 2021, and eventually with setting at The Spot in 2024. In just one year he became the Head Setter of ABC and got his USAC L1 routesetting certification. On the coaching side, he received his Attained Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification from NSCA in 2023. 

On the climbing side of things he has not only maintained his love of outdoor climbing, he has also grown into the competition scene, starting with making Semi-finals at the North American Cup in 2024. He began working for Kilter in 2024 where he can be seen doing everything from board installations to warehouse work to routesetting. In his free time he enjoys reading and making music (find him on spotify!)
