Kilter Board - Sizes

The Kilter Board Original Layout, voted #1 Board in the Climbing Business Journal's 2021–2024 Grips List Awards, is designed for climbers of all abilities. It is available in four nested sizes to fit different spaces while sharing the same database of climbs.

16x12 - Original Layout

• Size: 16' wide, 12' tall upper board, 1–3' exposed kickboard

• Holds:

• 431 unique bolt-on handholds

• 207 footholds

• Lighting: 1,300 LEDs

• Optimal Clearance Height Range: 12’ to 15’  

12x12 - Original Layout

• Size: 12' wide, 12' tall upper board, 1.5–3' exposed kickboard

• Holds:

• 323 unique bolt-on handholds

• 153 screw-on footholds

• Lighting: 1,000 LEDs

• Optimal Clearance Height Range: 12’ to 15’  

8x12 - Original Layout

• Size: 8' wide, 12' tall upper board, 1–3' exposed kickboard

• Holds:

• 209 bolt-on handholds

• 102 screw-on footholds

• Lighting: 630 LEDs

• Optimal Clearance Height Range: 12’ to 15’

7x10 - Original Layout

• Size: 7' wide, 10' tall, no kickboard

• Holds:

• 165 unique handholds

• 60 screw-on footholds

• Lighting: 450 LEDs

• Optimal Clearance Height Range: 8’ to 11’

HW FULLRIDE LAYOUT BOARD SIZES

10x12 - HW Fullride Layout

• Size: 10' wide, 12' tall upper board, 12"–18" kickboard (adjustable).

• Holds:

• 513 unique holds ( 253 Mainline + 260 Auxiliary + 21 Kickboard holds).

• Lighting: 1000 LEDs

• Optimal Clearance Height Range: 11’ to 14’

8x12 - HW Fullride Layout

• Size: 8' wide, 12' tall upper board, 12"–18" kickboard (adjustable).

• Holds:

• 400 unique holds (209 Mainline + 170 Auxiliary + 21 Kickboard holds).

• Lighting: 800 LEDs

• Optimal Clearance Height Range: 11’ to 14’

10x10 - HW Fullride Layout

• Size: 10' wide, 10' tall upper board, no kickboard required

• Holds:

• 391 unique holds (195 Mainline + 196 Auxiliary).

• Lighting: 800 LEDs

• Optimal Clearance Height Range: 8’ to 11’

7x10 - HW Fullride Layout

• Size: 7' wide, 10' tall upper board, no kickboard required

• Holds:

• 305 unique holds (165 Mainline + 140 Auxiliary).

• Lighting: 610 LEDs

• Optimal Clearance Height Range: 8’ to 11’
